Description
Short wheel base , long hood , The purest 911 ! Gaudin Porsche Classic of Las Vegas is proud to present this exceptional 1967 Porsche 911 2.0 Short Wheelbase Coupe, presented in its original factory Irish Green, one of the most desirable and iconic colors of the early 911 era. With just 3 owners from new and 37,975 miles, this beautifully restored example represents the Porsche 911 in one of its earliest and purest forms. The early short-wheelbase, long-hood 911 occupies a special place in Porsche history. Introduced as the successor to the 356, the original 911 established a formula that would define Porsche for generations: a lightweight chassis, rear-mounted air-cooled flat-six engine, unmistakable silhouette, and an uncompromising connection between driver and machine. These early cars featured a 2,211 mm short wheelbase, before Porsche increased the wheelbase by 57 mm for the 1969 model year. At the heart of this 1967 example is the original-generation 2.0-liter air-cooled flat-six producing 130 horsepower—the same fundamental specification with which the 911 began its remarkable history. Combined with the compact short-wheelbase chassis, narrow body, long hood, and beautifully simple interior, the result is an extraordinarily engaging driving experience. For many enthusiasts, these early SWB cars represent the purest expression of the original Porsche 911 concept. This particular example is especially striking in its original factory Irish Green, one of the most recognizable and sought-after colors associated with early Porsche automobiles. The elegant green exterior perfectly complements the delicate proportions and chrome detailing of the early long-hood body. Having remained with only two owners from new, the car shows just 37,975 miles and underwent a comprehensive restoration completed in 2024, bringing the vehicle back to an exceptional standard while preserving the character that makes an early 911 so special. As the first official Porsche Classic Partner in the United States and a five-time Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge winner, Gaudin Porsche of Las Vegas brings extensive experience and meticulous attention to detail to every classic Porsche we offer. Our Porsche Classic-certified technicians have gone through this 911 comprehensively in preparation for sale. Work performed includes: Complete engine service. Transmission service. Brake system service. Comprehensive mechanical inspection. Full paint correction and exterior detailing. Complete Porsche Classic inspection and certification. The car has also undergone the extensive Porsche Classic Technical Certificate (CTC) inspection and achieved a 100% pass, providing its next owner with an exceptional level of documentation and confidence in its condition. Beautifully restored, remarkably well presented, and wearing its original factory Irish Green, this 1967 Porsche 911 2.0 SWB offers the opportunity to experience the 911 close to its original conception—light, mechanical, elegant, and wonderfully direct. This is not simply an early Porsche 911. It is an example of the automobile that established a formula Porsche has continued to refine for more than six decades.
